About Course

Class 12 Biology (CBSE) is divided into five major units: Reproduction, Genetics & Evolution, Biology in Human Welfare, Biotechnology, and Ecology. Reproduction covers asexual and sexual reproduction, human reproductive system, reproductive health, and plant reproduction. Genetics includes Mendel’s laws, inheritance patterns, DNA structure, replication, transcription, and translation. Evolution explains the origin of life, natural selection, and speciation. Biology in Human Welfare focuses on human diseases, immunity, vaccines, and the role of microbes in industries and sewage treatment. It also includes strategies to improve food production like plant breeding and animal husbandry. Biotechnology deals with genetic engineering, recombinant DNA technology, and its applications such as insulin production and GM crops. Ecology explains interactions between organisms and environment, ecosystems, food chains, and biogeochemical cycles. It also covers biodiversity conservation and environmental issues like pollution and climate change. The subject is a mix of theory, diagrams, and application-based concepts.
